Level Scope › Market structure
Equal highs and lows
Two consecutive confirmed swings of the same type whose extremes sit within a stated tolerance of one another. One parameter, and it is named on every event.
What it looks like on a chart
A horizontal line at the shared level, drawn forward from the bar that confirmed the second swing.
| Timeframe | Bars of history it reads | Settings | Events, last 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| M15 | 240 | swing half-width n=5, tolerance 0.1 ATR — the one parameter, stated | 242 |
| M30 | 240 | swing half-width n=5, tolerance 0.1 ATR — the one parameter, stated | 131 |
| H1 | 240 | swing half-width n=5, tolerance 0.1 ATR — the one parameter, stated | 63 |
| H4 | 240 | swing half-width n=5, tolerance 0.1 ATR — the one parameter, stated | 15 |

What we measured
Nothing of our own attached.
What it does not claim
This one genuinely is late, and the event says how late rather than letting you assume it just formed: a swing is only confirmed some bars after it printed. What the level means, and what to do about it, is somebody's opinion. That two prices sit within a stated distance is not.
