Level Scope › Session and profile
Session open crossed
The two most-used time anchors in the ICT vocabulary, and the two that are exactly defined: the price at 00:00 New York and at the 09:30 open. This fires the first time price returns through one of them.
What it looks like on a chart
A horizontal line at the anchor price, drawn forward from the crossing bar. The anchor bar's own open is the level.
| Timeframe | Bars of history it reads | Settings | Events, last 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| M15 | 400 | New York clock, DST-correct; the anchor is that bar's OPEN; first close-through since the anchor | 461 |
| M30 | 400 | New York clock, DST-correct; the anchor is that bar's OPEN; first close-through since the anchor | 393 |
| H1 | 400 | New York clock, DST-correct; the anchor is that bar's OPEN; first close-through since the anchor | 222 |
| H4 | 400 | — | 0 |
Not on D1. It built on a SESSION — the profile, the first hour, the prior day's extremes. On D1 a session is one bar and the question is empty.
What we measured
No forward claim attached. The appeal here is reproducibility, not edge.
What it does not claim
That is the whole point of these two: no pattern, no judgement, a price at a stated instant. Two readers with the same chart get the same level, which is not true of most of this vocabulary.
Where the definition comes from
ICT's midnight open and 09:30 New York open
