Value area edge
The value area holds the middle 70% of a session's activity. Its high and low are the two prices the profile crowd watches most. This fires on the first touch of yesterday's boundary and draws it forward.

Not on D1. It built on a SESSION — the profile, the first hour, the prior day's extremes. On D1 a session is one bar and the question is empty.
What we measured
We checked whether the boundary does anything. On 5,539 EUR/USD sessions, a first touch of the prior VAH rejected 49.4% of the time — against 50.6% for an arbitrary price at the same distance. The edge is a landmark, not a wall, and the difference is on the wrong side of zero.
What it does not claim
The page says the number rather than implying a bounce. If you trade the edge, you are trading the distance, not the boundary.
