Each page below says what one scanner is, whose definition we used where the sources disagree, the exact settings, and — where we measured it — what it does not predict. 26 of them, grouped by what they read.
Market structure
Swings, breaks, blocks and sweeps — where the market's own shape says something changed.
- Equal highs/lows two swing extremes within a stated tolerance of each other
- MSS a CHoCH that also swept liquidity, printed a body and left a gap
- Order block last opposite-close candle before a break of structure
- Spring / Upthrust penetrated the range boundary and closed back inside within 3 bars
- Structure break close beyond the last unbroken swing — BOS, or CHoCH against bias
- Turtle Soup a new 20-day extreme whose predecessor was at least 4 sessions old
Fair value gaps
Three-bar imbalances: formed, revisited, and turned against.
- FVG formed a three-bar gap of at least 1 ATR just completed
- FVG touched price returns to a gap of at least 1 ATR that had stayed untouched
- FVG inverted a tracked gap is closed through against its own bias
Session and profile
Everything cut from a trading day — the profile, the first hour, yesterday's extremes, the open.
- Day type at the open: what kind of day the one that just closed was
- Initial balance first trade outside the session's first hour range
- Naked POC price reaches a prior session POC it had not returned to
- Prior day extreme prior session's extreme traded through, then closed back inside
- 80% rule opened outside the prior value area, then two 30-min bars back inside
- Session open price crosses back through the NY midnight or NY open price
- Value area edge first touch of the prior session's VAH or VAL
- Volume POC the price the last completed session traded most volume at
- Volume value area the 70% volume value area of the last completed session
Volume and spread

- Climax wide spread, ultra-high volume, closing off the extreme (TradeGuider)
- Effort without result high volume, narrow spread — effort without result
- No Demand up bar, volume below both previous bars (TradeGuider SOW 5)
- No Supply down bar, volume below both previous bars (TradeGuider SOS 8)
- Stopping Volume window low on abnormal volume, closing mid-range or better (LuxAlgo)
