Volume point of control

The volume point of control is the price where most of a session's activity took place. It is built from that session's one-minute bars, published at the first bar of the next session, and drawn forward across it. It is not the same level as the naked POC on the same chart: that one counts time, one mark per bar that touches a row, and this one weights the same rows by volume. They answer different questions and they are entitled to disagree. The volume being weighted is tick volume — a count of quote updates, not traded size, because spot FX has no exchange behind it. That is what every charting platform draws for FX, and it is what this is.

What it looks like on a chart

A single horizontal line, drawn forward from the first bar of the new session. The same price on every timeframe, deliberately — the profile is built from minutes whatever chart you are looking at, so switching from M15 to H4 does not move it. The line is labelled with the day it profiled rather than the day it is drawn on, which on a Monday morning is the previous Friday.

Settings, as they are actually applied on each timeframe. A dash means this scanner emits no settings string. Where a number differs by timeframe, that is a span of chart time resolved into bars.

Not on D1. It lands on the first bar of a session. On D1 that bar is not closed until the session is over, so the level would arrive a day after it was settled.
